Eyes on our brands … and awards

Eyes on Petone is the name of our business - it covers both what we do (healthy eyes and great style) and where we are (245 Jackson Street, Petone).

Our cool glasses logo was designed by Kevin Hayman.

We’re also proud members of the Independent Optometry Group (IOG), a 100% Kiwi member-owned cooperative of independent optometry practices established nearly two decades ago under the name “Visique”. Eyes on Petone continues to use the Visique logo on our windows and brochures, to reference our membership of the group. 

IOG’s goal is to provide reliable and affordable eye care to all New Zealanders and we have a reputation for spending quality time with patients, allowing our optometrists to understand their individual needs and advise them of the best solutions in their case.

By combining together, IOG members have collective buying power to purchase frames and lenses at a price that’s competitive with the overseas-owned budget chain stores, while we focus on a great customer experience.

As a group, IOG has won the “Most Satisfied Customers” award for Optometry from the CanstarBlue customer satisfaction ratings agency every year from 2018-2022.

In 2022, IOG earned 5 stars in all categories, outshining the two chains in the survey.

While we started using the Eyes on Petone name in May 2022, Laura and most of the team have been part of IOG/Visique for many years, so are pleased to see the group’s focus on quality service recognised.
